ANGEL AND KENNY LOGGINS ARE CELEBRITY ADVISORS TO THE ORGANIZATION GIVING HOPE TO STUDENTS FROM VARIOUS BACKGROUNDS WHO ARE STRUGGLING FROM DAY-TO-DAY PRESSURES
ANGEL, the young California-based musical artist who made a big splash this year is winding down her own student-inspiring concert tour… but has added one more special event to her schedule before re-entering the recording studio. It was announced today that Angel will join a host of politicians and stars from the world of sports and will perform at the Beating The Odds Student Rally on May 10, 2005 , 11 a.m. at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania . Among other items on the agenda, there will also be a military fly-over in tribute to the U.S. troops and their families.
The Beating The Odds Foundation is an organization that is near and dear to Angel's heart as she (along with music star Kenny Loggins ) sits on their Celebrity Advisory Board. Also there is a home-town connection because her family, not to mention Ron Clapper the president of her label Midas Records, is from Pennsylvania .
Angel is very familiar with inspiring young people due to her year-long VH1 Save The Music tour, where Angel performed at over 200 schools and talked to approximately 175,000 students about not using drugs, alcohol and tobacco. She is currently in pre-production for the follow-up to her debut solo album Believe In Angels… Believe In Me with hit-making producers Tim Kelly and Bob Robinson (Destiny's Child, Sisqo, Babyface, Boyz II Men).

Start-up indie label Midas Records (ADA/WEA) and their debut artist ANGEL have something to celebrate and they did just that recently with a VIP luncheon event at the elegant Four Seasons in Beverly Hills , CA . Midas threw the posh sit-down to commemorate a year of accomplishments for the young musical artist and to announce new projects in the works.
Some of the media outlets who attended the lunch event at the Four Seasons and spent some up-close time with Angel included ABC TV, People Magazine, DMX, Extra, Fox Television, Hollywood Previews, All Music Guide, United, Continental, America West Airlines in-flight music services, Movie Tunes, The County of L.A., Music Connection, KTLA Television, KDIS Radio Disney, Radio Express, Teen Magazine, Tiger Beat, Bop Magazine and Westwood One.
It was announced at the luncheon that Angel is finishing-up her current concert tour and has re-entered the Midas studios to record her follow-up album. She is co-writing many of the songs for the next album and working with the hit-making producers Tim Kelly and Bob Robinson (Destiny's Child, Sisqo, Babyface, Boyz II Men). Additionally Angel has been meeting with several theatrical agents, production companies, directors and television networks and is in talks regarding several projects on the table that involved her acting and/or musical talents.
Winding down in May is the VH1 Save The Music Tour starring ANGEL that kicked off last March 8 th , 2004 at Crobar in New York City and has traveled across the U.S. numerous times. Angel has not only performed selections from her solo debut album Believe In Angels… Believe In Me at over 200 schools but she's also gotten rave reviews for her approach in talking to the students (175,000 so far) about avoiding drugs, alcohol and tobacco to achieve their goals. Other major accomplishments for Angel and Midas in the busy first year included a #2 Billboard Dance Club chart hit, cracking Top 40 Radio, being “most added” at A/C Radio and a very well-received Christmas EP.

“Lessons In Love,” Follow-up Single to #2 Dance
Hit “How Can I Lie,” Soon To Be Serviced
To Pop Radio And Dance Clubs
As if her breakneck schedule this past year with Midas Records Presents: The VH1 Save The Music Tour isn't enough of a whirlwind, teen pop sensation Angel—celebrating the recent success of her #2 Billboard dance chart hit “How Can I Lie”—was off to the races (literally) in mid-February, sitting in the VIP section as a specially invited guest at the Daytona 500 with some mighty fast Hollywood company. She shared the February 20 festivities in Daytona Beach , Florida with Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Matthew McConaughey, Brian Wilson, Clint Black and Vanessa Williams.
From there, Angel raced up the coast to join forces with Radio Disney AM 560 in New York to meet fans and perform at New York City 's Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum on Feburary 25, during a specially designated Kids Week. The event, in which the singer sang live on the Intrepid, was a follow-up of sorts to a December performance she did in conjunction with Radio Disney at the Evening of Giving charity event at the Menlo Park Mall in Edison , NJ .
Angel's show was part of a weeklong Kids Week celebration, in which the Intrepid Museum teamed up with a long list of partners to provide educational and interactive programming, including multiple stations for kids where they could learn from museum educators and create their own crafts to take home. The Kids Zone operated operated every day during Kids Week to provide interactive activities based on the museum's educational programs. Other activities during the week included: Puppet Theater, Magicians, Science Shows, Dance Performances, Face Painting, games and prizes.
“I think it's so cool that kids in New York City have their own week to be creative and have exciting new learning experiences,” Angel says. “I was very happy to participate and had a great time seeing everyone there!”
Earlier in February, Angel was a presenter at the 16 th annual Pollstar Concert Awards, held on February 4 th at the Wiltern LG in Los Angeles . She presented the award for Best New Major Concert Venue and was greeted fondly by the other presenters, many of whom are legends in the music business.
All of this activity was extracurricular to her headlining duties with Midas Records Presents: The VH1 Save The Music Tour. Angel has been touring schools and malls since last March, discussing the value of keeping music programs alive in the schools and talking to students about avoiding drugs, alcohol and tobacco to help achieve their dreams. Thus far, she has performed at over 200 schools in front of more than 175,000 kids.
Angel has won accolades from the press (including Teen Newsweek), teachers and parents for these efforts as well as the clean-cut lyrics of her debut solo album, Believe In Angels… Believe In Me . The album was recently released in Japan as well.
“How Can I Lie” recently hit the #2 spot on Billboard magazine's Hot Dance Music Club Play Top 50 chart, just under the top spot occupied by superstar Seal. The track had received the royal treatment with two remixes, one by Ralphi Rosario and another by Eddie Baez to keep the song pumping on the dance floor and specialty radio from late 2004 to the present. A remix video version is also being blasted in the clubs and on video channels.
Even as “How Can I Lie” still lights up the clubs and listener request lines, Midas is gearing up to ship its follow-up single “Lesson's In Love” to Top 40 radio and out to the club culture. The dance version will once again get remixes by Rosario and then by Norty Cotto.
Angel has also been in the studio lately with producers Tim Kelly and Bob Robinson (Destiny's Child, Sisqo, Babyface, Boyz II Men).
There will be more exciting Angel news in the weeks to come. Just call her the “Daytona Lightning” of the record industry…

Check out the "Q & A" with ANGEL about her trip to Japan !!!
1) Q: Before you arrived in Japan , what did you think it would be like?
A: I thought it would be fun. I had never been there before so I was excited to travel somewhere new.
Angel signs posters for her fans.
2) Q: Now that you have been there is it like you expected or different? Please explain .
A: It's a lot like I thought it would be, really busy, crazy and exciting. The shopping was really cool. It was kind of like a huge Times Square .
3) Q: What are your fondest memories of your trip?
A: One of the coolest things was my showcase. Everything just went so well. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Everyone was so supportive. It was just a lot of fun!

Angel sings her heart out at her showcase in Japan .
4) Q: How did you like the food? What did you try that was completely a new taste for you?
A: Ummm.the food was definitely different, ha ha. I'm not really a fish fan, so that was a problem since like the most common thing was fish! Something new that I tried was sweet beans, I wasn't really very excited about those, lol.
5) Q: When you performed, what were the fans like? Did they already know your music from the radio etc?
A: The fans were great! They were singing along and screaming. It was really cool. But something unique was that when I looked out into the audience, all I could see was camera phones. They were really popular there .

Angel perfoms while fans take pictures using their cell phones.
6) Q: What was the strangest thing that happened?
A: One thing that was really strange was one night we went to a hibachi grill (Benihana type place) and when you ordered shrimp, they would take it out of the tank and put it on the grill right in front of you ALIVE!!!! Awwwwww it made me so sad, you had to watch it die. It was strange and really upsetting. I felt so bad for the shrimps.
7) Q: What did you learn about the fashions and musical tastes of the teens there?
A: It's a lot like here. They're totally into trends and fads. They seem to listen to a lot of the same music that we listen to.

Angel signing a table full of Daisy Rock Guitars, for her fans .
8) Q: Did you see any of the tourist sites. what did you really enjoy or find interesting?
A: I went to a few different places, but the most interesting was this religious temple/church and in there you can get your fortune. I got a BAD fortune!!! So when people get a bad fortune they can hang it on this board to get rid of the bad. You bet that's what I did!
9) Q:What did you miss most back in the USA ?
A: The FOOD! My BED! ENGLISH! It's so hard when people don't understand what you are saying.
10) Q: Anything funny happen due to language or cultural differences?
A: Actually, yes. My mom and I kept sticking our chopsticks upright in our bowls and leaving them there. In Japan by doing that, you are offering your food to the dead and we didn't know that.
11) Q: Did you bring back any fun souvenirs?
A: Yes I did! A lot of clothes! Haha I did a lot of shopping.

Angel hanging out at Japan's Inter FM radio station .
12) Q: Would you like to return to Japan and other parts of Asia to tour in the near future?
A: Absolutely! I learned so much while I was there. It would be neat to see other parts of Asia too.

Climbing the chart below Angel are other young and/or veteran artists like John Mayer, Uncle Kracker, Ashlee Simpson, Dido, Matchbox 20, Sarah McLachlan and Elton John. The Billboard article pointed out that the A/C format has recently brought together mothers and daughters who for the first time in decades are enjoying the same songs and artists.
As A/C and most radio formats shift to Holiday programming around Thanksgiving, Midas Records is providing the gift of music to all appropriate radio stations. Angel has come out of the studio with her own unique take on a couple of holiday favorites; "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" and "Oh Holy Night." Not only that but she has recorded "It All Started With A Child," an original (K. Follese/A. Follese/J. Reid) produced in Nashville. As "Love Is" is relevant as ever during the holidays it will be included in the 4-song package being serviced to radio, the media and will also be offered as a special gift to Angel fans when they purchase any merchandise on her site www.angelfaith.net
Angel has received rave response by the media, educators and students for her ongoing Midas Records Presents: The VH1 Save The Music Tour starring ANGEL. Beginning last March, Angel has performed at over 100 schools and 100,000 kids, also talking about how to avoid drugs, alcohol and tobacco to achieve their dreams. "Just The Way I Am," her first single from the album garnered significantly airplay at Top 40 radio and the video is being shown on The N on Nickelodeon's Noggin channel as well as online on AOL and Launch/Yahoo! Her single/video for "How Can I Lie" is set to heat up the dance floors at the clubs and on dance specialty radio. "Lessons in Love" is the next Top 40 single/video from the album set to drop in early 2005. Angel is departing for Tokyo later this week for a promotional tour as Believe In Angels. Believe In Me has just been released by Pony Canyon Records in Japan. She is also on Clear Channel's L.E.I. Jeans Non Stop Summer Jam Tour, with MTV's DJ Skribble.
MIDAS RECORDS AND RETAILER DRY ICE SET TO WRAP FIRST ROUND OF SUCCESSFUL PROMOTION WITH
SECOND LEG OF PROMOTIONAL MALL TOUR BEING DISCUSSED Chalk up another successful promotion for rising pop star ANGEL and Ron Clapper's feisty independent label Midas Records (ADA/WEA). On Saturday October 23rd, in Alpharetta, Georgia, Midas wraps-up the initial leg of a highly successful promotional mall tour with Dry Ice , the Midwest-based retail chain specializing in room furnishings for teen and pre-teen girls with 38 stores.
The fourteen city tour featured a full-production concert by Angel with her dancers in each mall's center court along with an autograph signing and a prize giveaway afterward at the Dry Ice store. Each tour stop was surrounded by radio, TV and print advertising and publicity. The concerts averaged approximately 460 people in attendance and the participating Dry Ice location experienced and average sales increase over plan of 48%, a win/win success for both Midas Records and Dry Ice.
Explains Cathy Heimberger, Marketing Manager for Dry Ice, "Five months ago I received a call out of the blue from Alan Siegel, the head of marketing for Midas Records. He wanted to know if Dry Ice would be interested in co-promoting Angel, their rising pop star and the launch of her debut album. Since we are always interested in new ways to reach our demographic, this venue seemed like a perfect match. The concerts were all awe-inspiring with total professionalism displayed by Angel, the stage production, media support and the efforts of the entire Midas marketing staff. We look forward to a second leg of the Angel tour."
With a forward thinking and aggressive approach from the onset, Midas Records has arranged for Angel to be on the road since March 2004 to set-up the August release of her debut album, Believe In Angels. Believe in Me. In addition to the Dry Ice Mall Tour, Angel has already performed for over 100,000 students at 100 schools with her ongoing Midas Records Presents: The VH1 Save the Music Tour starring ANGEL. She is also ready to embark on the Non-Stop-Summer Jam with DJ Skribble in partnership with LEI Jeans, Clear Channel and Seventeen Magazine. In early November Angel heads to Tokyo for a promotional tour of Japan to support the release of her album there by Pony Canyon Records. Angel will continue to work during November/December performing her upcoming holiday songs at national children charity events as the label sets up the release of "Lessons In Love," her latest single going to Top 40 radio and video in early 2005.

The high school junior lands #1 Most Added honors at the FMQB A/C Secondary Market Panel. She has also earned her wings first week out as the #6 Most Added on the R&R Mainstream A/C Chart with the The Center-produced hit, hovering among Los Lonely Boys, Josh Groban, Alicia Keys, Daryl Hall, Bruce Hornsby, Kelly Clarkson, and right behind Ray Charles. In addition, "Love Is" is this week's R&R A/C feature in the influential music trade publication, while Angel has also received high praise in an editorial review on Amazon.com. Notes acclaimed music journalist Jaan Uhelszki for Amazon, "Not everyone can transcend the teen pop genre, but like former labelmate Justin Timberlake , No Secrets ' erstwhile [former] lead singer has done an admirable job of distancing herself from the often coy and insincere musical genus, despite the fact her former glammed-up girl band was one of the best of the bunch. Much of the credit for their success has to go to Angel herself, whose strong vocal style and impassioned delivery transcends any hint of banality...."
