BALLENTINE'S MUCH -ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM 4U TENTATIVELY SLATED TO BE RELEASED JULY 6TH VIA OME/LIGHTYEAR/WEA
The band Ballentine will celebrate signing with Original Man Entertainment by performing a preview of their debut album 4U on Thursday June 24th at 7PM at Mama Juanas located at 3707 Cahuenga Blvd. ABC's reality TV rocker Heather Ballentine from " The Ultimate Love Test ," will join her band, along with music industry and entertainment media for this intimate celebration of OME's newly signed artist: Ballentine. They will perform songs from 4U , which is currently set for release on July 6th.
Ballentine could be considered American Idol and The Real World in reverse; instead of getting a leg up the long, rickety ladder of fame and fortune by parlaying reality TV show appearances into record deals and feature films, Los Angeles-based modern rock band Ballentine already has an album on the springboard and a film in the can. As an established favorite of Movie Tunes, Inc., the world's largest in-theater music marketing and advertising company where the band is featured in the Movie Tunes documentary, LA Music Scene . The band has also gone on serveral USO tours to military bases in France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Honduras, with another to Japan slated for mid-summer 2004.
Ballentine's CD 4U is tentatively set for release on July 6th via Original Man Entertainment/Lightyear/WEA. For your advance copy of 4U please email info@luckmedia.com .

BALLENTINE’S MUCH ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM 4U
TENTATIVELY SLATED TO BE RELEASED JULY 6TH VIA OME/LIGHTYEAR/WEA
Heather Ballentine and Frank Primorac checked out their second episode last night of "The Ultimate Love Test," ABC-TV’s latest reality TV series. In this episode the couple was put through challenges and placed in a test.
In reaction to her experiences in Cabo, Heather states, "My favorite rush is normally performing live on stage with my band, but last night watching myself bungee jump brought back that exciting feeling and incredible rush. It was fun to relive that adventure and see it on TV. Although, it was tough watching myself doubt my relationship with Frank and rekindle feelings with CR. I remember how confused and torn I was, but I’m very glad that I made the decisions that I did."
When contacted for his response, Frank added, "Last’s night episode reminded me how much stress and grief ABC put me though, and looking back on it I’m glad it’s over now. I just want to go back to playing bass, writing songs, and making music with my band."
Ballentine’s CD 4U is tentatively set for release on July 6th via Original Man Entertainment/Lightyear/WEA.

BALLENTINE'S MUCH -ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM 4U TENTATIVELY SLATED TO BE RELEASED JULY 6TH VIA OME/LIGHTYEAR
Heather Ballentine and Frank Primorac checked out their debut last night (6/2) on " The Ultimate Love Test ," ABC-TV's latest reality TV series. Their band Ballentine also had their national TV debut; they performed one song during the show.
According to Heather, "When I was watching our band perform our song ‘Tired of You' (the first single from the album) on the first episode, I just kept thinking millions upon millions of people were watching this and it felt really good. It was also really surreal to watch myself on TV and to watch Frank and I let America in to the private side of our world. I instantly realized that our lives are about to change and it's exciting
When contacted for his response, Frank added, "Watching my relationship with Heather start to unfold on the show was strange! Aside from that, there's something to be said about seeing your band play live on national TV, on ABC, it's a great thing. I thought that the show was surprisingly entertaining and that the characters were interesting. I'm curious to see what happens with the other couples, which is surprising since I'm really not a reality TV fan."

IT'S THEIR TIME TO SHINE IN MUSIC, MOVIES AND TV:
MODERN ROCK BAND BALLENTINE MAKES A DOUBLE DEBUT WITH
FIRST ALBUM 4 U AND AN ABC TV REALITY SERIES
BOTH SET TO HIT IN JUNE
***
Ballentine featured in upcoming Movie Tunes documentary LA Music Scene ; single “Tired of You” to play in more than 20,000 AMC movie theaters
It's American Idol and The Real World in reverse; instead of getting a leg up the long, rickety ladder of fame and fortune by parlaying reality TV show appearances into record deals and feature films, Los Angeles-based modern rock band Ballentine already has an album on the springboard and a film in the can. But they're doing the reality TV thing, too.
Ballentine – Heather Ballentine (vocals), Frank Primorac (bass / vocals), Ben Morris (guitar / vocals), Jeremy Weinglass (keyboards) and Vassil Ananiev (drums) – gives America a double whammy with the simultaneous release of their debut album, 4 U , and their national television debut on the premiere of an intriguing ABC TV reality series, both set to premiere in June. More details to be announced soon.
An established favorite of Movie Tunes, Inc., the world's largest in-theater music marketing and advertising company that provides audio and on-screen programming in more than 20,000 AMC theaters, Ballentine follows up the extensive play of tracks “Something About You” and “I'm in Love” with their next single, “Tired of You.” In addition, the band is featured in the Movie Tunes documentary, LA Music Scene , which recently completed its filming with a concert that singer / songwriter / actress Ballentine says was “one of the band's best performances ever.” And this relatively young band has had more performances in its two and a half years together as hard rockin' punk-pop confectioners than most, as they have gone on several USO tours to France , Italy , Spain , Turkey , Cuba , Puerto Rico and Honduras , with another to Japan slated for mid-summer 2004. Accolades from The Pentagon attest to Ballentine's incredible (and very credible) live vibe.
The official letter of recommendation from the Department of The Air Force states, in part, “Their contributions to the program were noteworthy. Comments received by this office were, ‘The band performed their show in an outstanding and professional manner. I highly recommend the band coming back to Turkey . We need more entertainment like this; they were great. They connected with the audience and extended the length of their performance. We appreciate the professionalism of the performers. The Armed Forces Entertainment Program in the Mediterranean area is recognized as one of the best in the worldwide program due to the high caliber of musical talent, such as Ballentine.”
“When you perform for those guys, it's the greatest,” Ballentine returns.
But audiences don't have to be in the military to have the Ballentine experience; performance footage is included in the trailer for LA Music Scene , and their song, “On Top of the World” is its music bed, as well as the theme song for the documentary.
Viewers can also catch the band in performance mode during the first episode of the ABC TV Reality series, setting the stage for the drama and dilemma between Ballentine and Primorac. With a relationship that predates the formation of the band by a month, the two are the new millennium's stylish, creative and appealing Deborah Harry and Chris Stein – or at least they were until…...you'll have to watch to find out. The band as a whole can survive; that much is certain. After all, they have thousands of troops looking forward to their next performance, and several record and distribution deals in the offing. In the mean time, 4 U will be available at www.BallentineBand.com , as well as www.MovieTunes.us , www.CDBaby.com , and www.Amazon.com .
But whether Ballentine, an Alma, Arkansas native and University of Tulsa graduate, and Primorac, a Croatian-American who bears an uncanny resemblance to Ric Ocasek, can sidestep her wining, dining and conniving ex-beau to find each other again remains to be seen – in the eight one-hour weekly episodes that test their relationship in basic, as well as unusual ways, along with those of three other couples, while the plot thickens and the stakes tremble at a lofty $100,000 for the prevailing soulmates.
Primorac says, “It was bizarre having six or seven cameras following me around at all times. They were pampering her and neglecting me.” You know it had to be tough if there's a cool, typically laid back musician who was feeling the sting.
He and Ballentine were chosen from a field of 1700 applicants, after she came across an ad looking for couples with interesting and unusual lifestyles.
Ballentine reveals, “We were the rock & roll LA couple. We let America in.”
And they did it 4 U .
