Southern Rain

NEW CD AND TOUR DATES

With an impressive history of musical achievements to his credit, Billy Ray Cyrus is back and ready to break new ground with Southern Rain, his Sony Monument Records debut. Set to release in October of 2000, Southern Rain will remind music lovers of the undeniable power of passion within Billy Ray Cyrus and his music. Led by the sincerity of the first single "You Won’t Be Lonely Now," Cyrus explores a gamut of human emotions from the exaltation of love’s promise to the pain of a shattered heart. Cyrus – long recognized as a compelling singer with a knack for connecting to a song’s emotional intent – makes the most of every sonic moment on Southern Rain.

Cyrus has released six albums to date with amazingly successful results. His debut disc Some Gave All (1992) sold over 9X platinum and follow-up It Won’t Be The Last (1993) sold over a million. His hit parade includes six top ten singles and he managed to accumulate an impressive array of awards along the way.

A man with many proven talents, Cyrus tried his hand at acting with grand results. Early 2001 he will be staring in the Pax-TV movie, Doc, a comedic drama about a Montana M.D. who moves to New York City. He also had a key role in a TV-movie for celebrated director David Lynch.

BILLY RAY CYRUS GIVES ALL -- AND MORE -- ON WORLD TOUR 1999

***

First single "Busy Man " off of his sixth album Shot Full Of Love, top 5 Bilboard Country Music chart ten weeks straight and portraying the "Poolman" in David Lynch’snew movie "Mulholland Drive."

Billy Ray Cyrus changed the look, feel and sound of country music with his Number 1 crossover mega hit, "Achy Breaky Heart," and the chart-busting album, Some Gave All, which spawned it. In fact, Cyrus' debut album still holds the Billboard Pop Chart record -- an unwavering stronghold of 17 weeks at Number 1 -- which even the "Titanic" soundtrack couldn't sink. 15 million albums and a prolific music catalogue later, Cyrus again gives all with a current world tour on which he's performing material from his sixth album, Shot Full of Love.
