COUNTRY STAR TAMMY COCHRAN TO GUEST STAR ON 'DOC'
WITH BILLY RAY CYRUS IN 'ANGELS IN WAITING' EPISODE
BASED ON HER AWARD-WINNING SONG

Country music singer/songwriter Tammy Cochran is garnering rave reviews for Life Happened, her just-released sophomore album from Epic Records. But it's "Angels In Waiting," the title track from her first award-winning CD that has led to her acting debut on "Doc," the #1 series on PAX TV starring Billy Ray Cyrus.

Cochran will film "Doc" in Toronto the week of November 11th, for an episode also titled "Angels In Waiting," the song she co-wrote that pays tribute to her brothers Shawn and Alan who both passed away at a young age due to Cystic Fibrosis. The music video from that song previously won Best Video awards from organizations such as Billboard magazine and received heavy rotation on music channels such as CMT and GAC. "Doc" producers Gary and Dave Johnson were touched by the song's lyrics, felt it was a very appropriate topic for the show, and decided that Cochran should actually appear in the episode.

In the episode, currently planned for broadcast in January, Doctor Clint Cassidy, portrayed by Billy Ray Cyrus, enlists a Nurse's Aid named Amy (Tammy Cochran) to help him reach a cynical teen-age patient - then discovers Amy needs some healing of her own. Viewers will need to tune into "Doc" on PAX TV, Sunday nights at 8 pm PT/ET, 7 pm C/M, to learn more about the surprise plot.

Explains Cochran, "I never thought my song, would even be a single, or get so much attention - let alone become the story-line for such a popular TV series. I respect the way Billy Ray and the show's producers portray dramatic and sometimes controversial topics in such a family-friendly manner. To say I'm looking forward to seeing the song come to life as a television program is an understatement. I'm sure it will be something that my brothers would have been very proud of."

GOSPEL MUSIC STAR CECE WINANS GUEST STARS ON BILL RAY CYRUS’ ‘DOC’

‘THE PRICE OF A MIRACLE’ EPISODE AIRS
NOV. 3RD 8-9 PM AND NOV. 13TH AT 9 PM

"Doc," the #1 family-friendly series on PAX TV, featuring singer/actor Billy Ray Cyrus, has booked Grammy-winning recording artist CeCe Winans to guest star on "The Price of a Miracle" episode that will be broadcast November 3rd, from 8-9 ET/PT pm. The program will re-air on November 13th at 9 pm ET/PT.

In "The Price of a Miracle," a little girl offers Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) her life savings of $1.98 to buy a miracle for her Leukemia-stricken brother. When Clint meets the children’s mother, portrayed by CeCe Winans, he discovers she doesn’t believe in miracles and has lost her faith in everyone, including God.

"I was so pleased that CeCe is doing this particular episode with us. She is a joy to work with and by the end of the show, she helps us demonstrate that miracles sometimes do happen. There’s a great message here to never give up hope, no matter how things seem at the time."

BILLY RAY CYRUS’ NEW SONG ‘NOBODY’
INSPIRES ALL-NEW ‘DOC’ EPISODE
PREMIERING SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13

-- Special Episode on Homelessness and Teen Pregnancy Co-Written By Cyrus --

(NEW YORK, NY) – "Nobody," a special "Doc" episode highlighting homelessness and teen pregnancy will premiere on Sunday, October 13 (8–9 p.m., ET), leading into the network debut of the original action drama, "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye" (9-11 p.m., ET/PT). "Doc" star and recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus co-wrote this poignant storyline, which was inspired by the track "Nobody" from his upcoming "Time Flies" album.

In describing the inspiration for the song, "Nobody," Cyrus explained, "While shooting the first two episodes of ‘Doc’ I lived near an old church where a lot of homeless people gathered, and my wife Tish and I got acquainted with a teenage homeless girl. Later on, there were several homeless murders and I spent weeks looking in shelters for this nameless girl. I never found her and told Tish, ‘How can I help her if I don't know her name? Does that make her nobody?’ That night I woke up singing the song."

‘Nobody’ also marks Cyrus’ first television writing credit. "This whole experience has meant so much to me," said Cyrus. "I was really excited that I was able to write this script and adapt my song for such a significant ‘Doc’ episode that addresses an important issue in today’s society."

"Nobody" Synopsis

Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) finds an abandoned baby girl on the Westbury Clinic’s doorstep and must track down the mother as he fights for the baby’s life. The baby’s mom is a homeless, troubled teenager, Rebecca (Marisa McIntyre), who delivered the suffering baby in an alley without medical attention. Rebecca finally comes to the hospital and is admitted herself, for a routine infection. Can Clint get through to her as she struggles with anxiety over her strict parents and the difficult choice she must make for her child’s future? Meanwhile, Nate (Richard Leacock) has an attack of jealousy when Beverly (Tracy Shreve) reconnects with an old boyfriend at her high school reunion.

"DOC" is PAX's highest-rated series since its launch and regularly attracts more viewers than UPN and WB in a majority of metered markets. "Doc" was created by Dave Alan Johnson and Gary R. Johnson ("Against the Grain," "High Incident," "The Client," "Second Noah" and PAX’s "Hope Island"). Marilyn Stonehouse produces for Pebblehut Productions.

"NOBODY"
Billy Ray Cyrus

Nobody came one night in May
No one to love her on that day
Story goes the rest
It's just a shame
There was no mothers open arms
No daddy there to shield her from harm
Just another face without a name

Nobody wins
Nobody gains
Nobody there to keep the baby from the rain
It's so unfair
We still lose
Nobody there to sing a lullaby
A love song, O the blues
Nobody wins...

Years passed and young got old
Things happened nobody knows
Father time stole her life away
They found her in an alley way
A cold night in the month of May
And nobody shed a tear

Nobody wins
Nobody gains
Nobody there to keep the baby from the rain
It's so unfair
We still lose
Nobody there to sing a lullaby
A love song, O the blues
Nobody wins...

Nobody's nobody again......

BILLY RAY CYRUS IS PROCLAIMED ‘HONORARY CITIZEN’ OF LAS VEGAS
AND IS PRESENTED THE ‘KEY TO THE CITY’
BY COUNCILWOMAN LYNETTE BOGGS McDONALD DUE TO FANS’ REQUEST

THEN: FAN FRENZY ERUPTS DURING CONCERT AT STRATOSPHERE

The Las Vegas-based fans of Billy Ray Cyrus got their wish granted for the singer/actor’s performance at the Stratosphere Casino Hotel & Tower. Immediately preceding the concert on September 6th, Lynette Boggs McDonald, Councilwoman for the City of Las Vegas presented Cyrus with a certificate proclaiming him "Honorary Citizen of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada." Additionally the Councilwoman handed him the Key to the City. The Las Vegas City Council was petitioned by a group of avid Billy Ray Cyrus fans requesting the honor.

After the presentation the concert at the Stratosphere was a roaring success. The packed outdoor entertainment center audience was so enthusiastic that many female fans continued to rush the stage during Cyrus’ entire show to give him flowers, notes, for autographs or to just get his attention. During Achy Breaky Heart two attractive young ladies jumped up on stage to dance and then engaged in some sexy bump & grind moves around Cyrus that compelled the stage manager to try to corral the ladies to move them offstage. But they were too slippery and managed to finish the song while Cyrus tried to keep a straight face.

Backstage after the show, "Doc" actress Ruth Marshall who portrays Donna DeWitt on the #1 PAX TV program and her husband surprised Cyrus by flying in for the show. The group spent some time on the bus, before the singer left for his final stops on the Time Flies tour, wrapping up in Salt Lake City on September 11th. Cyrus and Marshall start filming the third season of "Doc" in Toronto in mid-September.

"Doc" Marathon Episodes
Sunday, September 8

6 PM (ET/PT) You Gotta Have Heart Dana (Polly Shannon), an attractive reporter for a New York TV station is doing a story on HMOs and "a day in the life" of a doctor. Against the wishes of the clinic director Ms. DeWitt (Ruth Marshall) and Dr. Crane (Ron Lea), she picks Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus). An obvious mutual attraction shows promise of a relationship beyond their professional one, but confuses things when the piece doesn't turn out the way Clint was promised. Lindsey (Emily Hampshire), a 17-year-old heart patient in need of a transplant has been looking forward to being well enough to go to her senior prom. Complications keep her in the hospital, but Clint and Nurse Nancy (Andrea Robinson) figure out a way to bring the prom to her.

7 PM (ET/PT) Time Flies

Nancy (Andrea Robinson) is devastated when her mother’s (Janet-Laine Green) battle with cancer takes a turn for the worse. Unable to accept her mother’s impending death, Nancy pushes her to join an experimental treatment program and turns to Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) for support. Dr. Derek (Derek McGrath) and his wife Nellie (Linda Kash) will do almost anything to get their five-month-old Gracie accepted into New York’s most exclusive preschool and discover a surprising source for help – Dr. Crane (Ron Lea). Raul (Tyler Garcia Posey) sets his heart on winning free passes to an amusement park in a school essay contest – but can he out-write the "vocabulary-gifted" Elliot (Taylor Abrahamse)?

8 PM (ET/PT) Complicated

In the aftermath of her mother’s death, Nancy (Andrea Robinson) and Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) have been spending quite a bit of time together, which leads the Westbury Clinic staff -- and possibly Clint and Nancy themselves -- to wonder if there’s more than just friendship between them. But Clint is in a relationship with Dr. Kate Weston (Nancy Sakovich) — or is he? And Tippy suggests that Nancy date her handsome lawyer (Grant Nickalls), since she’s still available – or isn’t she? Raul (Tyler Garcia Posey) tries to prove to the cutest girl in his class that he’s perfect for her by using a compatibility test which creates comical results.

9 PM (ET/PT) Citizen Crane

Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) meets street "performers" Lenny (Ron Kennell) and Donny (John Posey), who earn money by using Donny’s amazing ability as a savant to remember obscure facts. But when Lenny suddenly becomes gravely ill, Clint becomes Donny’s caretaker, and is in for more than he can handle. Dr. Crane (Ron Lea) considers a run for city council and discovers what people really think of him, when he’s forced to hire an image consultant (Gloria Slade) to warm up his "insincere, untrustworthy and uncaring" persona.

10 PM (ET/PT) Fearless

Steven Curtis Chapman stars as Daniel Parson, Raul’s (Tyler Posey Garcia) band teacher who inspires his rag tag students, including daughter Annie (Kelsie Tulk), to play "fearlessly" as they strive for excellence. But Daniel must live out his own advice after Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) diagnoses him with ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease. With help from Clint, Nate (Richard Leacock), Beverly (Tracy Shreve) and his students, Daniel comes to terms with his disease. Dr. Crane’s (Ron Lea) college rival makes his life miserable when he installs an innovative software program at the clinic. Clint and the clinic are sued for malpractice by a clairvoyant who claims Clint robbed her of her psychic powers.

11 PM (ET/PT) Family Matters

Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) finds himself in a battle with social services when he is denied temporary custody of Raul (Tyler Garcia Posey) because state law says he must be held by social services or placed in the home of approved foster parents. Matters are further complicated when a man claiming to be Raul's father shows up at the Westbury Clinic. Dr. Derek (Derek McGrath) learns he and his wife are going to have a baby – and goes to extreme measures to feel part of the pregnancy process. Clint arrives on horseback in the middle of a traffic jam and delivers a baby in the back of a cab.

Buck Owens himself grabbed a perfect table in his club to take in the first set and then jumped up on the stage during the encore by Cyrus and his band Sly Dog. Mr. Owens held up Cyrus’ arm in triumph, to the delight of the audience and proclaimed it a night to remember.

BILLY RAY CYRUS - THE KING OF FAN FAIR
10TH ANNIVERSARY OF FAN FAIR FOR CYRUS COVERED BY PAX TV FOR SPECIAL

COVERAGE INCLUDED MOBS AT BOOTHS, ROCKIN’ CLOSING SET AT ADELPHIA SONY SHOW,
1000 STRONG AT FAN CLUB PARTY AT FACTORY,
ACOUSTIC SET AT GAC BREAKFAST & MORE

This years makes the 10th anniversary of Some Gave All, Billy Ray Cyrus’ debut album that sold 14 million units worldwide and still holds many records to this day. My, how time flies! It was also the decade mark for his participation in Nashville’s annual Fan Fair celebration. And as Brad Schmitt of the Tennessean pointed out, Cyrus has built an "amazing fan club of almost mythical proportions."

PAX TV picked a great time to shadow Cyrus and film all his Fan Fair activities for a Billy Ray Cyrus television special that will be announced in the near future. They caught all the fan frenzy and will also film one of his concerts during the upcoming Time Flies Tour. His newest album Time Flies is planned for an early Fall release.

And the devoted throngs indeed showed up in force again last week. Cyrus was mobbed along with the cast of "Doc" his #1-rated series on PAX TV at his own Spirit Club booth and at the PAX TV Fan Fair booth. About 1000 fans showed up at the Spirit Club Fan Club party at the Factory in Franklin, TN. Cyrus and his band played a full set and debuted some of the songs from Time Flies. Not only that, Cyrus rocked the crowd at Sony Music’s Fan Fair concert at Adelphia Coliseum and closed the show with an energy that brought the crowd to their feet for the entire set. He did the same thing earlier that morning, alone with his guitar, during an acoustic set for GAC at the Graham Central Station in downtown Nashville.

All this will be included in the Billy Ray Cyrus television special coming soon on PAX TV. PAX is also presenting a "Doc" marathon. Details will be forthcoming.

‘DOC’ EPISODE HONORING AMERICA’S VETERANS AND NYC FIREFIGHTERS
TO AIR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ON PAX TV

-- Network Presents Two-hour Tribute "Some Gave All," Sunday May 26, 8-10 p.m., ET/PT--

(NEW YORK, NY)— PAX TV will spotlight Memorial Day with an encore presentation of the special two-hour "Doc" episode "Some Gave All," on Sunday, May 26 from 8:00–10:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The episode first aired last Veteran’s Day, 2001, exactly two months after the tragic events of September 11, and pays homage to America’s New York City firefighters and police force, and those who serve in our military.

Initially inspired by Billy Ray Cyrus’ hit song, "Some Gave All," the two-hour special draws upon the wartime sacrifices of friends and family of Billy Ray Cyrus and "Doc’s" creators, Dave Alan Johnson and Gary R. Johnson. Featured is the story of a Marine whose life was changed forever by his tour of duty in Vietnam, and a family that comes to terms with the heroic death of a World War II infantry man. An additional storyline deals with a New York City firefighter who emerges physically unscathed from the World Trade Center attacks, but is emotionally traumatized by the loss of colleagues and friends.

This two-hour salute is punctuated with actual commentary from surviving war veterans, firefighters and their family members expressly shot for the "Some Gave All" episode.

"Some Gave All" Synopsis:

Nate’s (Richard Leacock) cousin Johnny (Mark Taylor), a firefighter and survivor of the September 11 terrorist attacks, has lost many of his fellow firemen, and harbors "survivor guilt" as a result. Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) and Nate help Johnny come to terms with his loss and find new meaning in life through the child of one of his deceased friends. At the same time, Clint’s patient Gus Wanzik (Peter MacNeill), a bitter Vietnam vet and former POW, is in need of a liver transplant. Clint discovers a surprise potential donor, but knows that revealing his secret identity could turn many lives upside down. Meanwhile, an Army officer comes to the clinic with information Dr. Hebert (Derek McGrath) has sought about his Uncle George who died in action in World War II. Hebert learns that his uncle was a decorated hero who was killed while diverting sniper fire, saving the lives of 14 fellow soldiers in the 104th Infantry, Timberwolf Division. Hebert’s father Lionel (Tom Harvey) has never talked of his brother’s death, but is finally convinced to attend an emotional reunion of the five surviving members of George’s unit.

"DOC" is PAX's highest-rated series since its launch a year ago and regularly attracts more viewers than UPN and WB in a majority of metered markets. "Doc" was created by Dave Alan Johnson and Gary R. Johnson ("Against the Grain," "High Incident," "The Client," "Second Noah" and PAX’s "Hope Island"). Marilyn Stonehouse produces for Pebblehut Productions. "Some Gave All" was written by Gary R. Johnson and Dave Alan Johnson.

SINGER’S ACTING RESUME ALSO INCLUDES ‘DOC’ AND ‘MULHOLLAND DRIVE’

Billy Ray Cyrus, the singer/actor whose series "Doc" is #1 on PAX TV, and also made an acclaimed cameo appearance in David Lynch’s "Mulholland Drive," has expanded his acting resume again with a role in Valerie McCaffrey’s "Wish You Were Dead" set for release on DVD and VHS video on May 21, 2002.

"Wish You Were Dead" stars Mary Steenburgen, Cary Elwes and Christopher Lloyd of "Taxi" and "Back To The Future" fame. In the dark farce, Cyrus joins a cast of supporting actors and luminaries such as Gene Simmons of KISS, Sally Kirkland and Robert Englund of "Nightmare on Elm Street" notoriety.

Explains Billy Ray Cyrus, "this was another great opportunity for me to learn more about acting, and feeling comfortable in a variety of roles and characters. From ‘Doc’ to ‘Radical Jack’ to ‘Mulholland Drive’… the more you do, the more you learn. I’ve come a long way from the ‘Love Boat.’

Time Flies, Cyrus’ latest CD is set for August release from Sony’s Monument Records.

BILLY RAY CYRUS CREATES SCRIPT FOR ‘DOC’
BASED ON HIS NEW SONG ‘NOBODY’
FROM HIS UPCOMING TIME FLIES CD

On May 10, 2002, Billy Ray Cyrus will begin filming a new episode of "Doc," the #1 series on PAX TV. The episode, entitled "Nobody" is based on the song of the same name featured on his upcoming album Time Flies. Cyrus wrote the song about a homeless girl he befriended in Toronto while filming "Doc." He felt the story was so powerful that it deserved its own "Doc" episode. This marks the first time Cyrus has had and active part in writing a script for his show.

The "Nobody" episode of "Doc" will air during the upcoming 3rd season of the popular program. The Time Flies CD is set for an August 20, 2002 release by Monument Records.

‘DOC’ SECOND SEASON FINALE
FEATURES RECORDING ARTIST CAROLYN DAWN JOHNSON
SUNDAY, MAY 19 ON PAX TV

(NEW YORK, NY) – "Complicated," the second season finale episode of the hit PAX series "Doc" caps off the season on Sunday, May 19 from 8:00–9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) and features the hit song of the same name from one of country music’s hot new female artists, Carolyn Dawn Johnson. "Complicated" is an acclaimed track off Johnson’s successful Arista/Nashville debut album "Room With A View."

"Doc" co-creator, Dave Johnson, said, "I heard the song ‘Complicated’ before ‘Room With A View’ was released. I am a huge fan of Carolyn Dawn Johnson and this song perfectly describes the relationship between Nurse Nancy and Clint. I’m grateful that Carolyn and Arista allowed us to use this song!" Johnson added, "We’re also talking to Carolyn about guest-starring in an upcoming episode and we are looking to create a part specifically for her."

Carolyn Dawn Johnson, often called CDJ by fans, is a Canadian-born singer-songwriter-producer who moved to Nashville in 1995 to pursue her musical ambitions. In 1999 Johnson became a member of Martina McBride’s band and began touring with her group. Soon after, she signed on with Arista Records and began working on her first solo recording, "Georgia," which quickly landed on the R&R and Billboard charts. Along her career path, Johnson has written and co-written tunes for some of the biggest names in country music, including SheDaisy, Pam Tillis, Linda Davis, Kathy Mattea, Patty Loveless, Suzy Bogguss, JoDee Messina and the 1999 hit number "Single White Female" with Chely Wright. In 2001 she released her debut album "Room With A View" and has been receiving widespread acclaim ever since. Johnson was nominated by the Academy of Country Music with a nomination for Top New Female Vocalist 2000 and recently garnered the prestigious 2002 Juno Award (Canada’s equivalent to the Grammy) for Best Country Artist.

"Complicated" Synopsis

In the aftermath of her mother’s death, Nancy (Andrea Robinson) and Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) have been spending quite a bit of time together, which leads the Westbury Clinic staff -- and possibly Clint and Nancy themselves -- to wonder if there is more than just friendship between the two of them. But Clint is in a relationship with Dr. Kate Weston (Nancy Sakovich) — or is he? And even though Tippy suggests that Nancy date her handsome lawyer (Grant Nickalls), Nancy’s certainly still available – or isn’t she? Emotions, timing, romance – it’s all a bit "Complicated." Meanwhile, Raul (Tyler Garcia Posey) is desperate to prove to the cutest girl in his class that he is perfect for her. He decides to use the compatibility tests Beverly (Tracy Shreve) is passing around for a class project, and of course, comical results ensue.

"COMPLICATED"
Carolyn Dawn Johnson

I'm so scared that
The way that I feel
Is written all over my face
When you walk into the room
I wanna find a hiding place
We used to laugh
We used to hug
The way that old friends do
But now a smile and
A touch of your hand
Just make me come unglued
It's such a contradiction
Do I lie or tell the truth?
Is it fact or fiction
The way I feel for you?

Chorus:
It's so complicated
I'm so frustrated
I wanna hold you close
I wanna push you away
I wanna make you go
I wanna make you stay
Should I say it
Should I tell you
How I feel?
Oh, I want you to know
But then again I don't
It's so complicated.

Just when I think
I'm under control
I think I finally got a grip
Another friend tells me that
My name is always
On your lips
They say I'm more
Than just a friend
They say I must be blind
Well I admit that
I've seen you watch me
From the corner of your eye
Oh it's so confusing
I wish you'd just confess
But think of what I'd be losing
If your answer wasn't yes

Chorus:
I hate it 'cause
I've waited so long
For someone like you
Should I say it
Should I tell you
How I feel?
Oh I want you to know
But then again I don't
It's so complicated

BILLY RAY CYRUS’ NEW SONG ‘TIME FLIES’
PREMIERES DURING ‘DOC’ MOTHER’S DAY EPISODE
SUNDAY, MAY 12

-- New Billy Ray Cyrus Song Inspires ‘Doc’ Episode --

(NEW YORK, NY) – “Time Flies,” the Mother’s Day episode of the hit PAX series “Doc” premiering Sunday, May 12 from 8:00–9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) also marks the world premiere of the original, new Billy Ray Cyrus song that inspired the episode. “Time Flies,” the title track on Cyrus’s upcoming cd of the same name, will be heard by concert goers when Cyrus hits the road June 29th with his nationwide “Time Flies” tour and when the album is released in August by Monument Records. In the meantime “Doc” fans and PAX viewers will preview the song throughout this special episode that underscores the need to appreciate and value life everyday.

"Time Flies" was written by Cyrus and his good friend Casey Bethard. "Casey Bethard is one the hottest writers in Nashville right now," said Cyrus. "He called me with this hook, and I knew I had to at least try to write it. It summed up everything that I feel about my life right now,” says the artist who spends much of the year away from his family while shooting “Doc” for PAX in Toronto, or touring with his band. “It’s great when the producers try to incorporate my music into the ‘Doc’ scripts, and together with the real inspiration for this episode, writer Joan Considine Johnson’s personal story of her mother’s battle with cancer, it just clicked.”

“Doc” writer Joan Considine Johnson was inspired to write this very personal episode by her mother Dorothy’s struggle with terminal cancer. A loving tribute to her mother’s courage, strength and humor, Joan finished the script 2 weeks after her mother passed away. “When my mother was diagnosed,” Considine commented, “she realized that time really does pass us by and we should make every second in this life count. The title of Billy Ray’s song was a perfect match for her new outlook on life. When he played me ‘Time Flies’ I started crying – not just because of my mom and how very personal the lyrics were to Billy Ray, but because of the incredibly universal and powerful message it sends to live life to its fullest.”

“Time Flies” Synopsis:
Nancy (Andrea Robinson) is devastated when her mother’s (Janet-Laine Green) battle with cancer takes a turn for the worse. Unable to accept her mother’s impending death, Nancy pushes her to join an experimental treatment program at the hospital – turning to a reluctant Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) for support. But, to Nancy’s increasing frustration, her mother has her own plan for dealing with the news: a “living memorial party” which will allow her to have her funeral “early” – so she can attend. Meanwhile, Dr. Derek (Derek McGrath) and his wife Nellie (Linda Kash) will do almost anything to get their five-month-old Gracie accepted into New York City’s most exclusive preschool and discover a surprising source for help – Dr. Crane (Ron Lea). And Raul (Tyler Garcia Posey) sets his heart on winning free passes to a local amusement park in a school essay contest – but can he out-write the “vocabulary-gifted” Elliot (Tayler Abrahamse)? Raul’s resulting prose is a poignant expression of what really matters in life.

“DOC” is PAX's highest-rated series since its launch a year ago and regularly attracts more viewers than UPN and WB in a majority of metered markets. “Doc” was created by Dave Alan Johnson and Gary R. Johnson (“Against the Grain,” “High Incident,” “The Client,” “Second Noah” and PAX’s “Hope Island”). Marilyn Stonehouse produces for Pebblehut Productions.

“TIME FLIES”
Billy Ray Cyrus

It’s living in the moment today
Got down on the floor and played with my little girl
For a little while
It’s crazy how much she’s grown
It seems last I looked she was so small but she sure ain’t now
But she’s around that age her first memories are made
Oh I remember being that young once
I think it was yesterday

Chorus:
Time flies
Blows by
Feels like
I’ve missed so many things
Time flies
And sometimes
God I wish you’d clip its wings

Another day is winding down
There you stand in that cotton gown
The one you wore when we first made love
Back when this was just a dream, no house, no kids
The only thing we had then was us
And babe I can’t help but miss that now and then
‘Cause all those old tomorrows
Ain’t coming back again

Chorus:
Time flies
Blows by
Feels like
I’ve missed so many things
Time flies
And sometimes
God I wish you’d clip its wings

Tag:
Time flies
God I, God I wish you’d clip its wings
God why can’t you clip its wings
Time flies
Time flies

‘DOC’ CAPS SECOND SEASON WITH
FOUR ORIGINAL EPISODES HIGHLIGHTING SOCIAL ISSUES
AND POSSIBLE ROMANCE

(NEW YORK, NY)—PAX TV, America’s family friendly network, caps the second season of its top-rated series “DOC” during May Sweeps with four all-new episodes focusing on important social issues and matters of the heart. “Doc” stars Billy Ray Cyrus and airs Sunday nights during May sweeps from 8:00–9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

Synopses of special “Doc” May sweeps episodes:

Sunday, April 28
“The Commercial”
In a pointed episode about ageism, everyone at Westbury Clinic is eager to audition for the clinic’s new television commercial except Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus). Although the commercial director (Patrice Goodman) knows Dr. Cassidy will appeal to their target demographic (adults and women 18 – 49), Clint is focused instead on his elderly patient Irene (Patricia Gage), a former actress who is about to undergo an angioplasty. The success of the procedure leads her to take Clint’s advice to “live life to the fullest” and resurrect her once successful acting career. Unfortunately, there isn’t much demand for an aging former star, not even in the Westbury Clinic commercial.

Sunday, May 5
“My Secret Identity”
While grocery shopping, Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) helps a disheveled and seemingly homeless woman (Natalie Radford). Moments later outside the market, the same woman returns the favor by using a “toy” firearm to chase off muggers who accost Clint. When he thanks her, Clint realizes she is wounded and rushes her to the hospital. While treating her, Clint determines that the woman isn’t homeless, but is in a “fugue state” – her disorientation a mechanism to block some painful memories. Tests, psychiatric treatment and the appearance of her husband seem to bring her to a startling revelation: she tells Clint she is a victim of domestic violence. But her husband has his own version of events he relates to Clint: his troubled wife is a substance abuser. Torn between her confession and her husband’s allegation, Clint is determined to discover the truth. Meanwhile, a leather-clad Derek (Derek McGrath) appears to be going through a mid-life crisis with his sudden exercising, dieting and funky new coif, and Raul (Tyler Garcia Posey) and Justin (Demetrius Joyette) get in over their heads when they discover “free” online gambling.

Sunday, May 12
“Time Flies” - Special Mother’s Day Presentation
And Raul (Tyler Garcia Posey) sets his heart on winning free passes to a local amusement park in a school essay contest – but can he out-write the “vocabulary-gifted” Elliot (Tayler Abrahamse), turns out, Raul’s resulting prose is a poignant expression of what really matters in life.

(NOTE: “Doc” writer Joan Considine Johnson was inspired to write this very personal episode by her mother Dorothy’s struggle with terminal cancer. A loving tribute to her mother’s courage, strength and humor, Joan finished the script 2 weeks after her mother passed away.)

Sunday, May 19
“Complicated” - Season Finale
In the aftermath of her mother’s death, Nancy (Andrea Robinson) and Clint (Billy Ray Cyrus) have been spending quite a bit of time together leading the staff and possibly Clint and Nancy themselves to wonder if there is more than just friendship between the two of them. But Clint is in a relationship with Dr. Kate Weston (Nancy Sakovich) — or is he? And even though Tippy’s suggested that Nancy date her handsome lawyer (Grant Nickalls), Nancy’s certainly still available – or isn’t she? Emotions, timing, romance – it’s all a bit “Complicated.” Meanwhile, Raul (Tyler Garcia Posey) is desperate to prove to the cutest girl in his class that he is perfect for her – but how? Maybe by using the compatibility tests Beverly (Tracy Shreve) is passing out to the Westbury staff for a class project.

Marilyn Stonehouse produces for Pebblehut Productions, a Muse Entertainment Company.

BILLY RAY CYRUS FANS MAKE A HOUSE CALL TO THE SET OF "DOC"
* * *
THE WINNERS OF A "COUNTRY WEEKLY" SWEEPSTAKES
ARE GIVEN THE VIP TREATMENT BY BILLY RAY, PAX TV
AND THE CAST OF ACCLAIMED DRAMA
* * *
HOME & GARDEN TV ALSO MAKES A HOUSE CALL….
TO BILLY RAY’S HOME

Toronto – Two lucky winners of a recent "Country Weekly" magazine contest traveled from their hometown of Midland, Texas to Toronto, Canada and the bustling set of PAX TV’s wildly successful medical drama "Doc". The show’s star, country recording artist Billy Ray Cyrus was on hand to greet contest winner Betty Pool, her friend Evelyn Milby and to ensure that they were given a true VIP experience on the set.

Between takes Cyrus spent time visiting with Betty and Evelyn, posing for pictures, delighting them with tales of "Doc" and talking about his forthcoming album tentatively titled "Time Flies" due out this summer. When it came time for Billy Ray to put on his game face and shoot the next scene, Betty and Evelyn were invited to sit with the director and listen in to the stage banter over headphones usually reserved for production staff only.

Of course even actors have to eat, so when lunch was served the visiting Texans gladly accepted an invitation to join the cast and crew as they dined. After the meal the cast signed copies of the script of the episode being shot and presented them to Evelyn and Betty. Not to be out done, Billy Ray then gave Betty the shirt he had wore in the episode that day. Cyrus too came away with a lasting memento, "Having the opportunity to connect with two of the shows die-hard fans was really a joy for me this season. I hope they remember it for a long time…I sure will!"

Billy Ray Cyrus fans across the nation will have a chance to get a little closer to the singer/actor as Home & Garden TV features the Cyrus home on the show At Home, Wednesday, April 3rd at 10:30 PM EST. (Check local listings for local air time and replay schedule.)

BILLY RAY, TRAVIS & WAYLON
NOT TO MENTION MILEY AND MICKEY (MOUSE)

ANOTHER ACTION-PACKED WEEKEND FOR BILLY RAY CYRUS
AND THEN BACK TO TORONTO FOR 'DOC' ON MONDAY

It's never a dull moment for Billy Ray Cyrus, when he enjoys a weekend away from his starring role on "Doc," the #1 series on PAX TV. Last Thursday night, after a long day on the set, Cyrus jetted from Toronto to his home in Nashville, and then flew with the entire family to attend his daughter Miley's cheerleading competition in Florida. While in Orlando, a trip to Disneyworld was next up to celebrate the cheer squad's #2 place in the finals.

One of the most touching moments of the weekend still lay ahead… upon arrival back in Nashville on Saturday afternoon, Cyrus went straight to rehearsals for the Waylon Jennings memorial concert taking place later that evening at the Ryman Auditorium. Jennings' widow, Jessi Colter invited Cyrus, to perform "Amazing Grace," the song the two men had sung together live on the radio and then became close friends.

Well, Waylon Jennings must have been smiling down on his outlaw music pals, because when he arrived backstage, Cyrus found he was sharing a dressing room with Travis Tritt. Tritt warmly welcomed Cyrus into their dressing room and the two spent the afternoon, mainly only with each other, discussing music, family and their mutual good friend Waylon.

For the close of the tribute show, Cyrus invited Tritt to join him on stage for "Amazing Grace," which he did to the delight of the audience. Then Kris Kristofferson apparently got caught up the in moment and also joined the duo for the final bars of the hymn. The three men embraced and left the stage together. With some important fences mended, it was back to Toronto for Cyrus for another 16-hour day on the set of "Doc," nice and early on Monday morning.

So what did you do this weekend?

CYRUS’ ‘DOC’ STILL LEADS THE PACK ON PAX-TV
AND BEATS OR TIES NBC, ABC, UPN AND WB IN MANY MARKETS

Los Angeles, CA - It has been announced by the Tenth Annual MovieGuide Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry, that Billy Ray Cyrus will be the recipient of the Faith & Freedom Award for "DOC" as "2001 Best Television Series/PAX –TV." Since Cyrus will be in Toronto on the set of "DOC" and not able to attend the MovieGuide Awards Gala on March 20, his acceptance speech will be transmitted to the event via satellite or videotape.

Billy Ray Cyrus has also been nominated for MovieGuide Awards’ prestigious Grace Prize for his moving performance in the critically acclaimed "Some Gave All" episode of "DOC," that aired last Veterans Day. Additionally, "DOC: Some Gave All" has been nominated for the Epiphany Prize. The "Some Gave All" episode was based on the hit song Cyrus wrote after a chance meeting with a Vietnam veteran. This year’s MovieGuide Gala will be held at the Ahmanson Hall at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, on Wednesday, March 20, 2002.

Accolades and awards aside, "DOC" continues to be PAX-TV’s little show that could. Last Sunday (March 3) "DOC" topped the powerhouse NBC network and was #1 in the ratings in Raleigh-Durham, Greensboro and Kansas City. "DOC" tied NBC in Buffalo and Louisville and barely trailed in several other markets. As per usual, "DOC" topped WB and UPN in more than half the cities across the nation. The previous two Sundays "DOC" even lead the WB network nationally across the board.

Billy Ray Cyrus Says Goodbye To His Friend Waylon Jennings

"This one hits close to home," explains recording star/actor Billy Ray Cyrus. "I was such a fan growing up, that in high school I took my mom to see Waylon in concert. At the show I bought one of those black t-shirts with the flying W logo on the front. I wore that shirt every day for months until someone either stole it or threw it away to keep me from wearing it so much.

"I would have to say that one of the biggest highlights and honors of my career was getting to know Waylon and Jessi [Jessi Colter – Jennings’ wife] personally. It actually had progressed to a point in recent years where they would come over to my house for dinner with the family. And we got to make music together as friends as well.

"The two words I think of now to describe Waylon are ‘friendship’ and ‘music.’ In light of his passing I feel those words have a common trait… just like music can live on so does friendship. And that friendship we shared will always be a part of who I am."

About ALS and The ALS AssociationALS is a fatal, neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells and pathways in the brain and spinal cord. When these cells die, voluntary muscle control and movement dies with them. Patients in the later stages of the disease are totally paralyzed, yet in most cases, their minds remain sharp and alert. Every day, an average of 15 people in the United States are newly diagnosed with ALS — more than 5,600 people per year.

The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health agency dedicated solely to the fight against ALS through research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy.

‘MULHOLLAND DRIVE’S’ ‘GENE THE POOLMAN’ BILLY RAY CYRUS
CONGRATULATES DAVID LYNCH ON WINDING ROAD
LEADING TO OSCAR NOD
FOR BEST DIRECTOR

"I am so thrilled to congratulate David Lynch on his Best Director nomination. David is a risk-taking filmmaker, and the story of the way he got this film to the screen has as many sharp twists and turns as that actual winding road in Los Angeles called ‘Mulholland Drive.’ As ‘Gene The Poolman,’ I learned so much from him on the set of ‘Mulholland Drive.’ To see David and the film getting all these accolades… well as Errol Flynn said, ‘Success is the best revenge.’ All my best to him and everyone involved with ‘Mulholland Drive.’

BILLY RAY CYRUS’ HIT SONG ‘BUSY MAN’

SPARKS AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF HIS HIT SERIES ‘DOC’

TO DEBUT SUNDAY, JANUARY 20, 8 PM ON PAX TV

‘BUSY MAN’ CONTINUES TREND OF BILLY RAY AND ‘DOC’ SERIES

PRODUCERS/WRITERS IN TACKLING POIGNANT SOCIAL ISSUES

Billy Ray Cyrus and “DOC,” his hit series on PAX TV, are once again targeting an important social issue that is sure to resonate with the program’s loyal family viewers. The lyrics to one of Cyrus’ recent hit songs “Busy Man” (#3 Billboard magazine Country Singles chart), have been developed into the main story line for a “Busy Man” episode of “DOC,” airing this Sunday, January 20, at 8 PM and rebroadcast Tuesday, January 22 at 8:30 PM on PAX TV.

The “Busy Man” episode finds Cyrus’ character Dr. Clint Cassidy, treating an ailing Internet entrepreneur.  Clint discovers that the executive’s workaholic ways are making himself sick. Clint also tracks down an anonymous singing “angel” who also helps the patient see the light.

“Boy this is one everyone, including myself can relate to,” explains Billy Ray Cyrus. “Not only can slowing down to smell the roses, result in a happier, more productive life with friends and family; workaholic behavior is a red flag as a physical concern as well as a mental one.  Like the song says, you’ll never seen a tombstone that says, ‘If only I had spent more time at work.’”

“DOC” is gaining a reputation for addressing topical social issues. Recently Cyrus’ “Some Gave All,” his highly-recognized song dedicated to all veterans of war, was used as the plot line dealing with a Vietnam veteran and as well as a firefighter effected by September 11th.  Also upcoming on “DOC” is an episode titled “Fearless,” guest starring Steven Curtis Chapman as a band teacher faced with an ominous diagnosis…the degenerative disease ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Billy Ray Cyrus is also currently putting the final touches on his upcoming CD for Monument Records.

BILLY RAY CYRUS ADDED SOME EXTRA LOVE TO ‘LOVE RIDE 18’ WITH JAY LENO

Billy Ray Cyrus put his money where his fans’ hearts were last weekend in Los Angeles during Love Ride 18, the worlds largest motorcycle event to raise money for charity. For this year’s Love Ride, Cyrus posed a challenge to his fans and then matched the amount they donated to benefit MDA, Disaster Relief and the L.A. Times Reading By Nine program. His fans mailed in around $2500 allowing Cyrus to present Jay Leno, the Grand Marshall of Love Ride, a check for $5000.

Not only did Cyrus reach for his checkbook, but he also suited up and showed up in a big way at the motorcycle rally. At the early morning kick-off press conference for the ride, he posed for photos and did media interviews along with Leno, Robert Patrick (X-Files, Terminator), actress Sally Kirkland, Peter Fonda and Willie G. Davidson of Harley Davidson. Billy Ray also got a rousing reaction to his version of the "Star Spangled Banner" and "Some Gave All," his song in tribute to the fact that it was Veterans Day. Cyrus helped lead the pack of 20,000 Harley riders and braved the 50-mile ride on L.A.’s notorious 5 freeway in the pouring rain.

At Love Ride, Cyrus performed on the same left-handed Fender guitar he used during his performance on CNN’s "Larry King Live," a couple of days earlier. Cyrus had taken a black felt pen and boldly inked "God Bless America" on the front of the (borrowed) acoustic guitar moments before going on the air.
