SARA EVANS GETS HER WINGS AS "I COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE" FLYS UP THE CHARTS TO FOLLOW #1 SUCCESS OF "BORN TO FLY"

HER THIRD ABLUM SOARS AS EVANS HITS THE ROAD WITH THE GEORGE STRAIT CHEVY TRUCK COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL A SLEEK NEW LOOK AND A WHOLE LOTTA SAVVY

When country music star Sara Evans gave birth to her son Avery, she experienced a rebirth of her own. She began working on her third album, Born To Fly, the follow up to her 1998 RIAA gold certified No Place That Far.

With Born To Fly, Evans makes her most unabashed bid for commercial success with a sunnier, sexier image that's generating considerable interest. The CD is currently red hot since the first single, "Born To Fly," went to #1 (with a bullet) on the Billboard country single chart.

Evans celebrated the success with performance on Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In addition to her own headlining dates, she is currently heading off for the George Strait Chevy Country Festival tour, while finishing up Maytag Making Music Matter Tour. Sara's current single, "I Could Not Ask For More" penned by hit-maker Dianne Warren, is zooming up the chart with an extremely sexy and stylish new music video. And with Craig Schelske, her loving and supportive husband running for Congress, who could she ask for more?

SARA EVANS GETS HER WINGS WITH FIRST BABY

AND BORN TO FLY

Third release soars as the country music star hits the road with a sleek new look and a whole lotta savvy

When country music star Sara Evans gave birth to her son Avery, she experienced a rebirth of her own. She began working on her third album, Born To Fly, the follow up to her 1998 RIAA gold certified No Place That Far. Not only was she writing half the songs on the album (with ever-present Avery as a prime source of inspiration), but she was inadvertently broke through the production realm, earning a co-producer credit after the fact at the recommendation of producer Paul Worley, who was impressed by Evans’ tireless dedication and complete participation in the project.

With Born To Fly, Evans makes her most unabashed bid for commercial success with a sound inspired by a certain trio of Chicks and a sunnier, sexier image that’s generating considerable interest. The CD is currently in the Top Ten on Billboard’s country chart while the first single, "Born To Fly, is at #6 (with a bullet) on the Billboard country single chart.

No Place That Far

#1 Billboard Country Music Chart (2/25/99)

ACMA ’99 Nominee – Top Vocal Event Of The Year

As one of the most talented women singers to emerge in country music in the past two years, Sara Evans set some clear goals for her sophomore album No Place That Far: "Pick top notch songs and be a little more daring vocally," is how she states them. She manages to achieve both of these with a little help from some friends – Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Grammy winner Alison Krauss and the legendary George Jones. It was the perfect strategy for Evans who had a lot to live up to. Her debut album, Three Chords and the Truth, made the 1997 Top 10 lists of the Washington Post, Billboard, Dallas Morning News, Request, Country Music People and American Country.

Beginning 1999 with all the inherent pressure associated with the recent release of her second RCA album, the excitement surrounding the hit single of the same name featuring Vince Gill, the giddiness surrounding her March CMT special "Girls’ Night Out," starring Evans, Martina McBride, Lorrie Morgan and Mindy McReady and add a new baby (Yes, a new baby!) now that’s an exciting year.
