SARA EVANS HAS PLENTY TO SING ABOUT
A bona fide hit with "No Place That Far," a tour with Alan Jackson,
a "Girls Night Out" CMT special and CD compilation
and a baby on the way
Country musics all-American songstress, Sara Evans, began 1999 feeling, well, not so good. It wasnt the inherent pressure associated with the recent release of her second RCA album, No Place That Far or the excitement surrounding the hit single of the same name featuring a musical collaboration with Vince Gill. It wasnt even the giddiness that comes with her upcoming CMT special in March, "Girls Night Out, " also starring Evans, Martina McBride (who also turns in guest vocals on No Place That Far), Lorrie Morgan and Mindy McCready. It wasnt even all that irresistible holiday food in which she and husband Craig Schelske indulged at her moms house in Missouri.
Schelske knew first. As they say, husbands always do.
"Thats impossible," Evans had to say to him. Impossible or not, Schelske was correct. And with the benefit of science to back him up, three tests later all positive his wife was finally convinced. Now baby will make three for the ecstatic couple, married more than five years, who are on the road with Alan Jacksons High Mileage Tour. This is already shaping up to be a spectacular year and no doubt theyll be greeted with big congratulations as concert dates will continue through the summer.
