Latin-Pop Crossover Artist Performs With Arista Recording Artist Keith Anderson at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville for the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA)

PHOTO CAPTION: Latin-Pop crossover artist Gerina Di Marco hit the stage at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville for the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) convention on February 18th with Arista Nashville recording artist Keith Anderson, who is best known for his Grammy-nominated "Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?)," and "The Bed," recorded by multi-Platinum artist Gretchen Wilson. It was tastemaker city as Di Marco performed in front of notable industry movers and shakers at this yearly convention which has evolved into the nation's largest collegiate organization for campus activities. 

Unlike a lot of big pop acts whose music and style often is just a reflection of the high-caliber producers they work with, Gerina wrote and co-produced all of her own material on her debut album  Gerina , and is already a hit songwriter in the Latin Pop world. In 2002, she co-wrote “Closer To You” with Steve Morales, a monster producer in that genre who has scored hits with Christina Aguilera, Gloria Estefan, Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin, among others. Pop star Thalia released the song on her 2002 self-titled album, then put out the Spanish version “Cerca De Ti” in 2004; it sailed to #1 on the Latin charts and has remained one of the singer's biggest selling singles to date. Gerina received honors for the track at the 2005 BMI Latin Awards.

Yamaha Provided Guitar That Was Auctioned Off For The Cause

The Annual Benefit Concert For Breast Cancer: BreastFest 2006  proved to be a success last Thursday night at The Gig in Hollywood with a special acoustic performance by Las Vegas-based  Gerina Di Marco in support of her debut album Gerina . Yamaha endorsee, Di Marco enthusiastically auctioned off a Yamaha guitar for the benefit, with all other proceeds from sponsorships, donations, ticket sales and merchandise going directly towards breast cancer research in Southern California, including UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. Performances throughout the night also included The Screaming MeeMees, Early Dawn, Allrise, OML and was hosted by Stephanie Griffin.

Latin pop crossover artist Gerina Di Marco will be featured in the "Desert Patrol" section of the December 2006 issue of Vegas Magazine. The photo shoot took place at the Rainbow Bar & Grill in Las Vegas with one of the photos being Gerina perched on a Harley Davidson chopper, that's on display in the club, in front of a giant American flag. Gerina recently peformed at the club which has become a hot spot for local music. Renowned Vegas photographer Francis George conducted the photo shoot.

Latin pop crossover artist Gerina Di Marco rocked ArtAbout last Saturday with her own brand of Latin pop rock. ArtAbout is a street festival and farmers market celebrating the cultural art of the Las Vegas community. The Venezuelan born singer/songwriter and Las Vegas performed for a diverse crowd which included Frank Dileo , former manager for Michael Jackson. Having heard the buzz on Di Marco, Dileo flew into Las Vegas specifically to see her perform live and to possibly add his guidance to her music career.
