Classic Rock Society.Com calls Abstract Man “….a very good rock album, from a band simply oozing talent and not afraid of a challenge”
The Tom Fuller Band ( www.tomfullerband.com ) is heating up the summer! The second single “Only In America” from the new album Abstract Man is #1 “most added” for a second week, jumping to #58 on the FMQB AC Chart along with such notables as Fergie , Coldplay , James Blunt and Jason Mraz .
Classic Rock Society.Com says “The Tom Fuller Band are a rock outfit from Chicago, US, yet seem much more British in their delivery…….Vocal Harmonies are very much is evidence drawing comparisons with the Beatles, and I suppose, the Beach Boys and they are not afraid to dabble in the realms of pop before returning to a more melodic rock approach. The Tom Fuller Band could be all things to all men, such is their talent and its probably their diverse approach that has led them to getting attached to a label normally more associated with Jazz. Abstract Man is a very good rock album, from a band simply oozing talent and not afraid of a challenge. They even cover the classic Air That I Breathe and get away with it in fine style…….."
The “Syracuse Post Standard's” Mark Bialczak says “With an acoustic guitar and a equal parts angst and hope, Tom Fuller sounds like a young Tom Petty….”
Formed in Chicago, the Fuller Band made its debut with Chasing An Illusion , produced by Nashville hit-maker Rick Chudacoff, whose credits range from legends like the Temptations and Smokey Robinson to Grammy-winning country-bluegrass queen Alison Krauss. The acclaimed album generated a string of 5 top 5 FMQB / AC hits that included "Back Again" and "Dare to Love." The group reunited with Chudacoff for its new follow-up album, Abstract Man . "It's the culmination of 14 songs which can all stand on their own on mainstream radio,” Fuller says. “This collection has the same kind of thought-provoking lyrics I wrote on Chasing, but where the first album had a lot of ballads, the majority of songs on Abstract Man are uptempo, killer rock."

The Tom Fuller Band is currently soaring up the charts with a sublime remake of the classic Hollies hit of the 1970s, "The Air That I Breathe." The new single from the group's current album Abstract Man is currently # 1 on the R&R New & Active chart, # 31* on the R&R Top 30 chart, #35 on the R&R AC Chart, #37 on Billboard's Media Base Chart and Top 20 in FMQB.

The uplifting, anthems of the heart and soul on the album include "The Air That I Breathe," as the Tom Fuller Band reinterprets the song's special magic through the group's own unique style. "A lot of people in the industry coached me on the value of doing a cover song. The more I looked into it, the more I wanted to do it. The challenge became how to stimulate an audience with a well-known tune without duplicity. That's where the powerful keyboards, tom-toms, and acoustic guitar strum come in, trying to do it justice but in a different fresh way. I think we gave it an energetic vibe."
Other key tracks on Abstract Man include "Radio Man," a testimony to the emotional resonance of the airwaves; the Ska-colored "The Lollipop Guild," about deception and betrayal; and "Only in America," a look at the contemporary U.S.A. and ideals of liberty.
"The songs touch on every human emotion and sensibility," Fuller says. "For me, the journey continues to be about passion and that is what I believe will shine through." On Abstract Man, the Tom Fuller Band reach epic heights of dynamic power, while remaining rooted in the raw emotions found at the heart of all great rock songs.

Fuller, An Underwriting Sponsor For The Humane Society's Pets For Life Program, Will Be Performing “Christmasland” On Numerous TV Morning Shows Across The Country, Joined by Homeless Dogs and Cats Looking To Find A Home For The Holidays, And Of Course Dressed in Holiday Style
With Thanksgiving and the holiday season just around the corner, indie singer/songwriter Tom Fuller is definitely counting his blessings for what has been an extraordinary breakthrough year.
His lifetime in the making debut CD Chasing an Illusion —which was produced by Rick Chudacoff, who has also produced superstars like The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and Alison Krauss--has spawned two hit singles on the prestigious AC chart of the prestigious industry print and online publication FMQB. The #5 single “Back Again” shared chart space with numerous major label superstar pop and rock artists, including Coldplay, Howie Day, Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys and 3 Doors Down. In mid-November, Fuller's follow-up single, “Dare To Love” hit #6 on the same chart. It is also tied for #11 most added single on the Radio & Records CHR Pop Indicator Chart.
“Back Again,” which begins in a trippy, ambient folk mode before exploding into a powerful and compelling electric rocker, is about never giving up and finding one's way back to his or her true love—a perfect metaphor for Fuller's own musical journey.
Fuller is showing gratitude for his thousands of fans throughout the world in a unique musical way this Christmas--by releasing “Christmasland,” a special holiday single that, in his own words, “shares the joy of sipping hot chocolate by an open fireplace on a winter night.” This winter, all those ordering Chasing An Illusion via his website ( www.tomfullermusic.com ) will receive a free copy of this beautiful track.
A copy of “Christmasland” can also be ordered separately for $2.99, and the song can be purchased a digital download online for $.99. Fans can listen to the song for free on the site as well. The song is the #4 most added track on FMQB's most recent AC chart.
One of Fuller's greatest companions throughout his dream-making journey has been Star, his beautiful, 10 year old yellow lab, who has been Fuller's sidekick since he adopted her at six weeks old. As something of a payback for her showing him what he calls “the meaning of unconditional love,” Fuller is helping other less fortunate animals as an underwriting sponsore for The Humane Society of the United States' five year old Pets For Life program.
The program is dedicated to making sure pets are well adopted and that the bond between the animals and owners is not broken. The program is geared towards helping both pet and shelter owners train animals properly so that major behavioral problems do not develop.
In conjunction with local animal rescue groups, Fuller will be performing “Christmasland” on TV morning programs across the country during the holidays—joined onstage by local homeless dogs and cats (in need of adoption) who will be dressed up in the festive spirit of the season.

Acclaimed Collection Produced by Nashville-Based
Hit maker Rick Chudacoff (Temptations,
Smokey Robinson, Allison Kraus)
Singer/songwriter Tom Fuller's lifetime-in-the-making, independently released debut CD may be called Chasing An Illusion , but he's already reaping some very concrete rewards thanks to the ongoing airplay success of its first hit single “Back Again.” The song, which begins in a trippy, ambient folk mode before exploding into a powerful and compelling electric rocker, is about never giving up and finding one's way back to his or her true love—a perfect metaphor for Fuller's own musical journey.
It's also one that's resonating clearly with Adult Contemporary listeners across the country. “Back Again” recently cracked the Top 15 of the AC charts of the prestigious industry print and online publication FMQB, sharing chart space with numerous major label superstar pop and rock artists, including Coldplay, Howie Day, Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys and 3 Doors Down.
Chasing An Illusion was produced by Nashville based hit maker Rick Chudacoff, who has worked over the years with legendary artists like The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and Allison Kraus. “The process of creating Chasing An Illusion took a year and a half to complete,” Fuller says. “As we worked together, I knew something special was happening, and (as) it took on a life of its own.”
Though all of the other 11 tracks on the eclectic, emotionally involving collection have similar hit single potential—the dreamy, harmonic, very Beatlesque “Dare To Love” (the second single from the CD) is scheduled for imminent release—Fuller believes his sudden success is due to trusting his own instincts and creative muse rather than specifically trying to contrive a #1 hit.
“The greatest thing about doing this as an indie project was that Rick and I didn't have any time or specific commercial constraints, and the ongoing creativity was allowed to ebb and flow naturally, till every last detail was right,” he says.
“I just get into my songwriting mode, and the songs that emerge come out very honestly,” Fuller adds. “Musically and lyrically, what I write is very much from the gut. I always write what I feel. What's exciting is the way the words and music can inspire people who listen…It's unbelievably heartwarming to touch the life of another human being through music, and I don't take the opportunity for granted.”
Although Fuller, a naturally gifted guitarist, bassist and keyboardist, says he was a garage band kid while growing up in the Chicago suburbs, he opted for the straight route in his early adult life and achieved great success in the corporate world. But he got to a point where he wondered, “Is That All There Is?” Finding his creative second wind, he got back in the groove of making music about six years ago, and sometimes still has to pinch himself to think that he's taken the true passion of his life this far.
One of Fuller's greatest companions throughout his dream-making journey has been Star, his beautiful, 10 year old yellow lab, who has been Fuller's sidekick since she was six weeks old. As something of a payback for her showing him what he calls “the meaning of unconditional love,” Fuller is helping other less fortunate animals by supporting The Humane Society of the United States' five year old Pets For Life program. The program is dedicated to making sure pets are well adopted and that the bond between the animals and owners is not broken. The program is geared towards helping both pet and shelter owners train animals properly so that major behavioral problems do not develop.
“When I was approached by Jan Elliot, National Director of Special Gifts for The Humane Society, to be an underwriting sponsor for this program, I did not hesitate to say yes,” says Fuller, who will perform at some of the program's public events. “I have always had a special place in my heart for animals and recognized at a young age how much they depend on us to care for and protect them. I was very disturbed to learn that in the U.S., millions of dogs and cats are relinquished to shelters each year, but only about half of them find new homes because too few people adopt from shelters. Even worse, if a pet is relinquished to a shelter because of “behavioral issues”, they may have a harder time finding a new home. And most of the problem behaviors are easily solved.”
“The little boy in me can't believe this is all happening,” he adds. “I've always dreamed big, and I have a zillion of them. Making music is the coolest thing I've done in my entire life, and there's no way I'm ever gonna stop!” The Humane Society of the United States is glad, too.
